Workday this Saturday

This Saturday is the 2nd to last workday of the year. Usual meet in the carpark at 9.30am, however the MS dog-a-ton has been rescheduled for this Sat as well, so we may relocate our cars into the paddock near the burning pile to give them a bit more space for parking.

I am pretty sure we should have fire permit in time for Sat, so pyromaniacs this is your day again. We may also have the location for the new fire site over the tributary so we could look at moving stuff in preparation for next month. We are still waiting on confirmation of this site.

Chainsaws under the guidance of a ticketed operator, weed sprayers – again under guidance of a ticketed operator, weed-eaters, perhaps general clearance tidy up.
No trees to plant, all done and dusted last month, HOWEVER we have been lucky enough to be given a heap of jolly fine Pohutukawa trees courtesy of Lynn and Barry. We may plant them Sat or maybe wait until Nov, when all danger of frosts are gone. Lets see what happens on the morning. So a spade may be a useful tool as well.
Bring your usual favourite gardening tool and we will see you there.

We will be back to BBQ, so bring a plate of salad or sweets as is our norm, usual venue, BYO drink. This will also be our final chance to say farewell to Ollie, Linda and Anton as they are ready to make to move to Wellington. So join up with them at lunch.
As usual if in doubt about the weather ring John 3322767, or Cherry 3322474

And finally thank you all for your continued support
